HOW LONG DOES AN INSTALLATION TAKE?
Typically between 45 minutes and 1 hour 30 minutes depending on appliance type.
Installation times vary depending on the appliance type and whether any pipework alterations are required:
- Gas hobs — typically around 1 hour 30 minutes
- Gas ovens & cookers — typically around 1 hour, assuming no pipework alterations are required. Where pipework alterations are needed this will take longer
- Electric appliances — typically around 45 minutes
These are approximate times and may vary depending on the specific appliance and the condition of the existing installation.
WHAT IF MY APPLIANCE CAN'T BE REPAIRED?
Parts availability is discussed during the telephone diagnosis wherever possible.
In most cases, parts availability is discussed during the telephone diagnosis so you know before we visit whether a repair is likely to be viable. If we attend and the appliance turns out to be beyond economic repair or parts are unavailable, a full callout fee will apply to cover time and expenses. This scenario is rare due to our thorough telephone diagnosis process.
